Where do I begin, and get fingerprinted for hazmat in michigan? no info anywhere?

You probably need to go the the DMV and fill out paperwork then take the knowledge test ad then they will direct you where to go get fingerprinting and a background check done. That's how it is here in NY. It can't be much different elsewhere. Start with the DMV I'd say.

Same here in NY. It's make me sick how ineffcient they operate. I let my haz-mat expire last year and just went through the process of getting it back. Two DMV offices and the finger printing company didn't know what I had to do. I went and did the test and they gave me paperwork to give to the finger printing company. They said they don't deal with that paperwork and didn't know what I had to do with it. So I stopped by another DMV office and they didn't know either. After a supervisor got involved who didn't know we "think" I needed to snail mail the paperwork to the state. I guess I'll find out if my hazmat license shows up in a few weeks. They made it seem like I was the only driver to ever get a hazmat endorsment.

This website lists all available locations for fingerprinting, as well as allows for payment of the background check fee online.
As has already been stated, you should pass the knowledge test and be eligible before you waste time trying to get the prints done.
