You didnt mention any codes so, sounds like its not getting fuel. on an Acert the fuel system must be perfect (sucking air.restriction and volume ) I would start there.

Cat just replaced filters ( fuel and air) gonna replace the boots tomorrow I think and see if that helps, or take it to peterbilt ( cause I have gobs of money to waste , ha ha) and see if they can nail it down

Get a site glass on it first. unless boots are damaged I would leave them till later. CAC clamps first. the old style clamp ( 1/2 in dia spring ) would hardly hold an Acerts high boost when new. new clamp has 1 in dia spring or theres one with thicker gauge
spring thats also 1/2 dia. fuel system first .... REALLY..

Check for an exhaust leak at the manifold. On mine (mxs) the exp. joints were leaking so bad that it would not boost up very well.

Had a c13 that was the same way. Ended up being one of the metal bellows between the chargers. You could hear the boost leaking on a hard pull but if the truck has external air cleaners you probably can't hear it because of the whistle.
