My turn.... there is no shortage of good drivers...... no sir...none. There is only a shortage of companies willing or unable to pay good wages.

Every Walmart D.C. that has trucks has a waiting list of top professionals waiting to get hired. Seasoned professionals with the credentials to back the experience. I personally know some who get the job and commute hundreds of miles or leave their families and get / share apartments / campers during their shifts.

You can have these drivers waiting at your door too. Forget all that 90 day ins. crap, forget competitive wages. Get rid of the cute short skirts running around the building, sell the Lincoln and scrap all the pot bellied middle managers. Close recruitment and retention and pay your drivers well above your competition. Follow Walmarts model and get your share of drivers waiting to work for you.
