So all of you that refuse to address this statement have no problem with the actions?

Wow. And you wonder where the really dumb laws like split speed limits, left lane restrictions, Truck banning( as in truck detours and routes)........

Much better to make excuses for your daily race that no one and I repeat no one gives a #### about.

Maybe this industry deserves the unskilled classification.

You have no sense of humor. The guy was sitting on the side of the road, 15 feet from the travel lane STOPPED. Hard to wreck when you are STOPPED.

I remember running with my Uncles guy's taking cows from Okeechobee to Wetmore, Co. They loaded 8-10 trucks and all of them "convoyed" to Colorado. They kept a 1/4 to a 1/2 mile between trucks.Little couple watt CB's couldn't even talk front to back had to relay messages.

Best 2 1/2 days of that summer:biggrin_255:. I learned my mentallity from my uncle. Hauling cattle requires smoothness regardless of speed.

See you have a taste. That's worded good. Smoothness over speed gets you down the road safer and faster at the same time.

Your #### right I find nothing funny or amusing of scaring someone off the road.

It is not about a wreck.
    It is not about passing.
    It is not about convoys.

It is about scaring another vehicle off the road, and taking pleasure in that action.

That is juvenile behavior worthy of grammar school. Just because they had 80,00 lb threat gives them no right to do what they did.

Tell 200 truck drivers that. You weren't there. It was a unique moment.

Well, one thing I've learned is governed trucks suck. I would hate to be stuck in a truck that is governed. It never ceases to amaze me that one truck will attempt to pass another....RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU.....and take five miles to do so.

I'll be running the speed limit(or 70 if I'm in NE or other 75 states) and be passing a couple governed trucks and one of them always jumps right out in front of me. Never fails. I don't understand why the driver can't wait. Makes me have to back way off the throttle and wait for the race to get over.

As far as convoys, I've never really been in one before. I've ran with a couple trucks from Topeka to Emporia...bull haulers....who could actually run the speed limit. But there was no BSing and we stayed probably 1/4 mile apart.

Personally, I will not ride someone's ###. In major traffic, like Atlanta, I attempt to keep a five seconds or so back from the vehicle in front of me. I'm usually pushing 80000 lbs and stopping instantly just doesn't happen. Some truckers don't like it but I don't care. I'm not gonna ride someone's butt and then run them over when I can't stop instantly.

I see drivers all the time right on someone's butt and I just shake me head. Just like 4 wheelers getting on a trucks rear and you can't even see them through the mirrors. To me that is absolutely stupid.

Tazz is right. Be careful what you do around 4 wheelers. The guys who make the laws we complain about drive them. For all we know the guy pulling that camper might be heading up one of the lobbying efforts trying to put EOBR's in your truck and cutting the driving time back to 8 hours a day. Respectful = Professional in any industry.
