It makes no sense to get out in real time traffic when you cant shift the gears yet.Seems you wanted to do your own thing, and not follow the program.

I just recently left my first trainers truck. I was stuck on the eastern regions with a dedicated route trainer. I called my counselor and head of the training division about my concerns of not getting the requirements in order to complete training. Going into my 5th week of training, sitting at a pilot babysitting the truck for a second weekend while he went home. I packed my #### and left, called both counselors and left yet another message which I never got a phone call from anyone the past 17 times I called. And politiley told them that until someone could get their head out of their *** they can find me at home in Tennessee. I told them that this could have reconciled by as easily as calling me when I called them about my concerns, but they never did. I have been home 2 days and received a call just today wanting to know what was going on.. oh well..... I say stay away from Stevens

Well, now that you are finished with your trucking career what are you gonna do? Truck abandonment, no one will touch you with a stick. I am sure by now you realize that there was a much better way to handle this, you really showed them who's the boss! Stevens doesn't give a crap because you now owe them several thousands of dollars and you only hurt yourself. You should start a thread about "not doing what I just did". Or maybe as you say; "oh well".

While you were "babysitting" the truck, you could have practiced backing procedures.

    Make your time count.

Too late, he showed them who the boss was, quit and went home. Stevens must be inconsolable with grief and angst!
Ever wonder why training companies like Stevens have so many rules and so many papers for their trainees to sign, right here, this is why. So why is the company to blame? plz explain.
