My wife and I want to work for Bison as an O/O as a super single and stay driving in Canada ONLY. We have driven befor in the states and in canada and really want to drive in Canada ONLY. Is there any one here willing to give us advice and talk to us about Bison and what they are like? I like that they are big (that's what she said) and that they seem on the ball and we won't have to worry about getting paid or jerked over. Any help or advice is great. Or is there an other company we could do this with? Thanks

When my husband worked for them as an O/O, it was a royal screw job. He signed on for a dedicated haul. Then they started selling off the loads to cut rate companies, which leaves the owner operators sitting waiting for loads. They were then sending hubby and others on hundred and two hundred mile jaunts instead of the long hauls. With so bloody many dispatchers, some idiot would call on the sat. when the previous guy on shift knew that hubby was on his sleep shift. Out here in BC, we see lots of Bison trailers being hauled by companies that we know are rate cutters. Working for Bison is not a good idea.

Ok, thanks. Is there a trucking company that you would recommend? Or is us going trucking as O/O or at all a bad idea? I thought that Bison paid you if you were waiting for a load? I was on there web site and it looked ok, but we are not sure. Any help is great. We would want to hire on with them in the long distance load type of job. Like from Vancouver BC to Toronto, or what ever. The recruter I talked to said that if we came on as an O/O and drove as a super single, they would give us around 16,000 miles a month.

I can't imagine a new hire @ Bison could stay exclusively on the Canadian side of the border. It would be my guess that there would be countless existing drivers and dpeendant operators wanting the same and if I was them and they gave it to you how angry would I be? I think you see and understand my point.

Ok, what about Schneider? It says right on there web site that most of there runs are in Canada! Any thing to say about them guy?
