So, is this "big-brother" list top secret? Can we view it? Do we need an FOIA request? LOL
-
Sounds like "McCarthy-esque" propaganda ...
And what defines "worst of the worst"?
Felonies, vehicular homicide, etc ... will already disqualify you from most companies.
And what about O/O's? ... if the feds want anyone "out" they can just deny them a CDL or authority. -
if they did that then why have a cdl program anyway
-
To collect more money -
This surprises everyone? The government has always collected data and made lists.

Any US Federal agency that has enough manpower and time to track individual people (short of interstate criminals and spies) is too big. I would like to see a list of these "serious offenses" just to see how serious they really are. At least, if we had that information, we would have an idea of whether we are being "tracked" through the system. And since when is it a crime to get a job?
The problem is, after these "serious offenders" have been "dealt with" in whatever manner, the FMCSA department doing this will have to justify its existence. To do this, tracked "offenses" will get less and less serious...until just the act of obtaining a CDL puts you on their radar screen. Government agencies only know how to maintain or expand their power, never reduce it. When is enough, enough? -
It's not manpower that is tracking you, it's computer power. As the power of computers grow the amount of info that can be sorted grows.
