Since most newbies probably lack coverage a roll-call of training companies and there health insurance coverage would help all of us newbies looking for that starter company immensely. By reading these forums I have ascertained that CRST starts your health benefits immediately, and Schneider takes 6 months to kick-in for inexperienced drivers, how about the other starter companies?

Health/medical benefits costs have risen through the roof in recent years. Co-pays have gone up drastically. Companies in business have shifted these costs to the employee. Retirement benefits just aren't out there anymore (except for City/County workers). So expect to pay for medical benefits anywhere you hire on.

I think in general most companies offer insurance after your 90 day probation period. On a side note, for those of you that are thinking of "fleasing" with a company then you are on your own as far as providing insurance. You only get the company benefits if you are a company driver.
