Hi Tech and Rocky boots come to mind. I have had Hi Tech for several years and like them. Light weight and waterproof.

I myself like matterhorns. They are a good warm boot if you are a flatbedder. I started wearing them when I was a tanker in the military. Also wore them in Germany when I did security work. Not good for hot climates, even tho they wick, but nice in cold areas.

Red Wings take a while to break-in. Danner makes great hunting boots, but I don't overly like their work boot stuff. Rocky makes a decent boot, I owned several pair, but they never last long enough.

One boot brand I haven't seen mentioned, and its surprising to me is LL Bean. Most people don't know this but they have a 100% no BS (and it really is no BS) warranty. If your boots fail, you call them up and tell them you need a new pair. They send you a NEW pair no charge, no ####... Their warranty includes all brands they sell including Danner. There is no time limit. I sent back an 8 year old pair of Kangaroo skin hunting boots with half a million miles of hard walking, the liner had failed. I got a brand new pair a few days later.

    https://www.llbean.com/customerService/aboutLLBean/guarantee.html

LL Bean will ask you ONE question. "Do you feel your boots should have lasted longer" All you need to do is answer yes...

Waiting for a pair of Timberland 6" Earthkeepers to show up via UPS to replace my Timberland City boots for the winter. Good gawd im messed up I have more boots than Imelda Marcos :biggrin_25523::biggrin_2557: I also obsess over drive tires too WTH?

Oh, and Im currently wearing a pair of lace up Ariats :D

As a truck driver, you're walking in various areas such as warehouses/dirt lots/inside trailers/tumbleweed infested off ramps etc etc etc, right? So, do you want to step on a pallet with a nail sticking out or broken glass on an off ramp during a wee-wee break? Wearing only tennies? I think not. How about dropping a 20 lb case on your toe? You need steel toed boots and I recommend Red Wing boots. Yes they cost but last forever. This reminds me of a fellow flat-bed driver that wore flip-flops all the time, even while securing his loads and tarping etc. Even at new construction job sites!

9 inch Wolverines. Make sure to get the un-insulated ones unless u need them. U will sweat your feet right off. Their water proof and have a short heel. Only problem I have had with them is wearing the soles off them. never had a hole in one

Love my Danners.. Since I'm usually offroad and in and out of my truck all day, they give me a lot of support, keep my feet dry and hold up really well..

I'm a big fan of the 10-11" wellingtons. Waterproof, easy on/off and really comfy.
