    Right now I'm wearing Carhartt which I guess is made by Red Wing but they are pretty spendy. Pretty comfortable and water proof.

    I bought a pair of Chippewa's a couple years ago after going in Elliot boots in Knoxville and asking for American boots. The still make a couple models in Michigan I think. I told the salesman I didn't want to pay $200 for Chinese boots! They hold up well under my construction abuse.
