Yea - I am not looking forward to the winter since the NE is a huge freight lane for us. But gotta learn sooner or later I guess.
I stopped in Richfield and had one of the guys test me batteries. He said all of them were just fine. Explained that I had to have it jumped 3 times and nothing was left on except the cooler. He couldnt find anything wrong except the negative for the inverter was connected to the same battery as the postive so he changed that. Still scared to turn it off for any length of time until I get by the house and grab my jumper cables. Dont want to spend the money for a pair out here when I have a great set at the house.

I'll look for ya. I havent been through GA in a few weeks. Have been running all NE and Midwest. Would love to get through there so I can "peek in on" my boys in Valdosta.
I am sure we will cross paths soon! -
Just a quick update -
Grabbed a load out of Neenah going to Sycso in Cinncinatti. Called the receiver and asked about overnight parking - got this...."yes there's room to park but be very careful. It's not the best area"! Ok enough said for me. Decided to run over to Trenton and stay there instead since it's only about 22 miles away.
Got a good shower and hit the bed early since I had a 5:30AM delivery. Get to the customer at 5AM and there are about 10 trucks all crowded at the gate and they arent even open yet. So I wait - finally at 5:30AM they open the gate - well it's like the day after Thanksgiving Sale at WalMart. It's a mad dash to receiving.
Finally get assigned a door and told need to hire lumpers. Ok - no problem. Get a PO and all set. I wait and wait and wait and wait...........5 1/2 hrs later I am finally empty. I was PISSED! But not a dang thing I can do about it. I just hope they dont overlook paying me detention pay for the 3 1/2 hrs.
Get that done and get a dispatch to grab a load from the Wayne Madison yard going to Grunee, IL. It's a short run and delivers tomorrow at 8am. No issues there. Well - until "I BLEW ANOTHER TRAILER TIRE"!
That's 4 tires in 3 months. I was with my trainer for 5 weeks and never blew a single one. God I hate these old trailers! So I am sitting at the Oasis in IL about 10 miles from my delivery. I will make the delivery and send the break down message once there - then run about another 10 miles to the TA to get it replaced.
Did I mention I HATE THESE OLD TRAILERS! All my blown tires except for one have been on these old trailers!Skydivedavec and smokies276 Thank this. -
geez you were in Trenton and didn't say Hi. I see how you are lol jk. It was good to finally meet Sully on Monday. I sure Baritone & Spanky that we will meet down the road in the future. I head out with my Trainer on the 24th. Hope you get to trade trailers soon.

Got off the phone with Alice and I got the last open spot to begin training in Ohio for Nov 22. So happy that I won't have to wait til after New year. All of you guys helped in my decision to go with Millis. Had three other offers but held out for this one. Looking foward to meeting ya'll at some point in the future.
Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
Sweet congrats, keep us updated.

maybe theres to much air in that tire, sometimes i would see 120lbs that crazzy, 95 to 100lbs, good drivers alwasy carry there own air hose for low tiresSkydivedavec Thanks this.
-
So are you saying if you don't carry your own air hoses, your not a good driver? I think I would reword that. I am pretty sure Baritone is a good driver. Otherwise he would not be out there on his own.Skydivedavec Thanks this.
-
no no, i meant it in a funny silly way, sorrySkydivedavec Thanks this.
