What Happened, Let me See I have been so busy I have not had the time, I left Greeley went to NC, then back up to MN then down to MS where I am now and in 9 days 6 drops 3 picks and I am on a reset, and lucky me My Stops in NC where on opposite sides of the State, in MN I dropped in St Micheal, then Went to the Far Southwest to Reload for MS. Here I started in Olive Branch and final stop Jackson. As for the Money My Worst paycheck is 1268.35 take home and I was off for 7 days that period. Best thus Far was 3250.00 for 2 weeks out this is what I took home, So that might be why I have not been posting as much, I will try to get on more often but when I have no Internet in the middle of NO where land. Well you get the picture.

you must be at a real good company why did yall get rid of the cascadias
-
You should go to the drivers "lounge" watch out for the fleas on the broken down furniture. The mice have yet to bite anybody, but the squirrels like the cheese and peanutbutter crackers. Do not leave anything in the fridge for more than 1 hour that you want to get later as it will be gone. We do have Satellite tv with few channels. They are a forced dispatch company that DOES NOT CARE IF YOU GET HOME FOR ANY HOLIDAYS AT ALL. They pride themselves on keeping drivers away from home. The only person around there that actually cares is some of the shop personnel and a couple of the night dispatch. You are a number not a person and you better get used to it.

hellrazer............I assume you are a driver for JBS?
I ask because I am seriously considering going with them. I like to hear any and all about a company, but honestly one can only believe first hand accounts of how things are. You sound like you have a bone to pick with them for some reason. -
The Drivers Lounge in the Current Yard Sucks, But what you have failed to say is that at this very Moment they are working on the NEW JBS Facility so we can move out of the Currently Rented Yards we are in. We are in the OLD DSCO yard and building a Huge new Facility so why invest any money in something that you are not going to use in six months, also When is the Last time you saw anyone Pick up the Drivers Lounge, Hell the drivers #### sure do not pick it up, the last three times I was in Greeley Yard I bought Toilet Paper (charmin) not sandpaper, and within 3 days it was all gone, this last trip I bought a CASE of it Put it in the John and I will be ###### if someone did not take the WHOLE case out of the drivers lounge, So as long as the turds who use the lounge continue to be slobs, it will be a turd room. When I am in Greeley I 99% of the time go check into a Hotel room, if I am there for a reset or more than `10 hours, I check into a room I am not going to hang out in a lounge room with a bunch of whining, sniveling cry babies complaining about not making money yet they turn down short haul loads, or they want to be home every two weeks. I will say this in the last 7 days I have run 3456 miles and I just did a reset, if you walk into any department there almost all of them know who I am, Dispatch runs me like a scalded dog, But then again I am never Late and I do my job without whining. I do not refuse Loads, ever it is after all My job to go wherever the company who PAID for my truck and trailer sends me this is why I am a Company Driver, Oh yes I sit at the meat yards like any other Driver but that is the Meat Patch, after 17 years hauling a reefer I have gotten used to it. I get the miles I do due to the fact I PLAN my trips before I reply to a Preplan, I can tell you where I am going to be the entire route of my trip, and I will be within 25 miles of where I say I am going to be.. Doubt it Ask David Douglas my fleet manager, He has asked and I checked on me and I am usually dead on. But that is something they do not teach people in Driving School and as Long as people continue to do things their way at any company they will continue to suffer and not make great money. All Trucking companies have issues I do not care who they are or where they have been they all have pros and cons, some people will make it at JBS some won't. But those who come here with an open mind knowing that it takes a new Trucking company no less than 5 years to get their crap straight and have the desire to ride it out as JBS is only 28 months into the process, and Like all Trucking companies they are having growing pains. In the last 45 days we have hired a New President as the one who started this company returned to Brazil to run the JBS Carriers operation there, we have Hired a New Operations Manager, and many things have and are continuously changing. JBS is slowly but surely figuring out the right combination that works best for their Business plan, it might not fit all the drivers that are there but as with anything there is always someone else to fill his/her shoes. They have some very Intelligent people in key places, and Not everyone is going to agree with all the people in the company but then again we did not come to work here to make friends with everyone, It is after all a Business, and if you treat your truck as one, and run it like it is your Own Business you can and will make money here. Trivial Bull crap like a drivers lounge is something that a person who spends way to #### much time in the Yard worries about, and the people I see sitting in the Lounge are those who are on Safety shut downs for Violations or tickets, so that in itself says enough. Now before you trip on your own show strings and come back with some Rambo BS make #### sure you have the courtesy to tell both sides, both the good and the bad. I will Surely speak my mind on it.
alex94 Thanks this. -
Yes I am. What would you like to know? I will give you my e-mail address or phone number if you would like to talk privately. Doc is full of crap. I will not sugarcoat it nor will I exaggerate. Just plain simple truth with examples. Let me know/

They still do not have aby respect for the drivers hometime. Example driver was due home last weekend and still has not made it. Yes they are working on a new yard, but what are the drivers going to get out of it? Probably nothing. You posted that the trucks were O/O specs, what O/O would spec a truck with no amenities that they are going to be spending 2-3 weeks at a time in? No suspension gauges, no APU no idle, all of which are money saving devices. The load planners are in need of an awakening. Waiting until 1700 to dispatch somebody who has been sitting all day and trying top force them to do the run is not driver friendly, nor is the mandatory chain-up to go over a mountain. I don't know what they told you in orientation, but if you had it as good at your last job that you told me you did, why r u not still there?? P.S. I thought you were running out of souderton to NY and New England?
rclsr1961 Thanks this. -
You must be in a Old Truck, I am in 13409 Mark Sawyer, Doubt me call the office, I have Suspension guage on my dash, amenities wholly crap are you kidding yourself. I told you I would like to Run nothing BUT Souderton to NY city and NE, But considering how many whiny ### drivers there are here I am running all over, Doing alot of Repowers, HOME time Wholly crap I get home 1 day earlier than I am Supposed to and I live in SOUTH EAST Virginia, the bottom at that, with no Problem, Your Disptacher and yOU need to sit down and get things Ironed out, YOu have never gone to Russell with your concerns otherwise the problem would be solved, Guaranteed. I deliver tonight in Stateville, PA I am preplanned already was yesterday when I picked up this load in Hattiesburg MS, I am picking up in PLainwell friday night at 11:30 deliver in Alexandria KY at 13:30 Saturday, DH to Louisville picking up for Phoenix on Tuesday 05:00. Preplan, Look I am planned out 1 trip ahead of the one I am finishing. So looks to me like I am getting the job done, My Part and Communicating with Dispatch, I hardly have to call David Douglas at all, Send simple messages and I am Running like a scalded dog, Since the 7th to Today Paid Miles and I will be more than HAPPY to show you my Payroll Statements 3644 Since Thursday of Last week, Trips 173240,174702,176541.
As For Forced Dispatch Do you OWN the Truck, No They do You go where they tell you it is called being a COMPANY Driver, YOU Can Refuse to take a load If it is to NYC, OR you can not make it legally. Forced to Chain what a Crock of BS NO one from the COMPANY Is on the SIDE of the Road with you Making you PUT ON Chains, All YOU as the DRIVER on the SPOT have to DO is tell them YOU as the DRIVER deem the ROAD Conditions NOT SAFE, Send a Message to Safety and CALL Benny Hill. Doubt Me Call Benny in the Morning talk to him, He will stand in front of you the whole way on that one. I had that conversation with Benny already, Also Told Jeff Moody in Orientation That As long as the CDL in MY pocket has MY name on it, I will make the decision as to whether I put on chains or NOT, not any dispatcher, or anyone else in the office as I AM the safety Person on the SPOT Bottom LINE. I got NO Argument, from them.
And You asked What will the Drivers Get from the NEW Lounge, I do not know Go look on the wall outside Safety and look at the NEW Lounge, several showers, Laundry equipment.
As for someone Sitting all Day waiting to get dispatched, I am amazed by that statement as any Driver with a QCom and a Cell phone knows, If you do not have a PRE PLAN you need to be prepared for anything that comes your way. This is Trucking not babysitting company. It seems to me that now Days More and More Drivers think that the companies should cater and hold their hands, this is where I say You want to make the money I am, you want the preplans I have, then Maybe you should try it the way I am doing it, Walk up to Mike Hill in Safety, any of the Ladies in Payroll, any Dispatcher, or Load Planner, Russell the Operations Manager, or the CFO and Ask them if I am full of CRAP, My Paychecks say otherwise, and I make .40 just like you do. 7 days and my take home with the extra Stops and detention pay, 1262.35 after TAXES. That is 7 days into the Pay Period and I am preplanned on 2666 miles for Tuesday from Friday. I must be doing something right.
As for My Last JOB you mentioned where I worked for 7 years Well CRT (Clark Refrigerated Transport) Closed in April Had you listened to what I said. Trust me I would MUCH Rather still be dispatching Myself, Driving the truck I was and More than Happy to Only have 5 other drivers working at the company instead of 500 Steering wheel holders and a few real Drivers, And Hell Yes I will and Have told MANY around the yard exactly what I feel about them. There are a Few Who saw what I am doing and Are now Doing it themselves, Ask 13408 Larry (yep he is My Buddy from Oklahoma) he is kicking ### and taking names here and is as Happy as I am. Ask Robert 33123 (Pittsburgh dedicated chicken Truck) He is doing the same and he is on that regional Chicken run. Oh and We are all three on ELOGS So we have NO Choice but to Run 100% Legal.
No Idle my ### If it is Less than 70 Who needs to IDLE oh Fat Overweight people need to IDLE. But not once while I have been in the South when it was hot as hell did anyone at any time say a thing to me about the Idling. No one has ever said anything to me about it at all. As a matter of a fact the best thing you could do is go into Greeley and talk to Russell and Benny Hill Obviously you have no clue about the changes, I talked to Benny about 3 weeks ago and the Idle crap is coming off all the trucks, He see the safety issue with heat fatigue, but then you know that so many driver will never shut the truck off, at all. As they have no clue as to how much it cost. You mentioned APU's When is the last time you went to Greeley when I was there 3 weeks ago some 10 NEW Red Trucks Single Bunk came in with APU's on them. Ask Cary in the Shop about that one as they Have said for a long time now they are working on getting them and they are doing so. Things do not happen overnight. -
amen doc, keep updating on jbs, i love readin it
-
Glad to hear that they are starting to get APU's in. Sure makes it alot nicer out here, having one of those. Are they also installing inverters and if so, what size?
