Well, I applied for RDTC two days ago. I was completely honest about everything on the application. Including being fired almost 3 years ago from a big name Swedish furniture company for calling off work for a level 3 snow emergency when I had an hour and a half commute in good weather. I also included my shameful military history. It was ten years ago when I confessed to using marijuana for the first time. Yes, it was a stupid mistake and I regret it daily. Well, now I regret it even more. Roehl declined my application due to those discretions. Now wouldn't you think they could appreciate the honesty and integrity it took to put my regretful past out there? Guess not. All I was told was "we can't accept your application AT THIS TIME...". So, what's that mean? Is there any way to get something like that overlooked? It was 10 years ago. Do they need to know about the little girls' hair i pulled back in 1st grade? Lol I mean, come on people... Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated. Maybe some other company with training? Thanks y'all.
Thanks, Roehl...

dude call them and explain what happened, this could be the difference, they denied me to (different reasons ) any how I called them and said i want to explain my past weather you hire me or not !
-
I tried that. All the lady had to say is that they were already booked for classes for the next month and a half and they were only accepting the very best right now... So I told her at least I was honest and that I can't change my past.
-
hey at least you tried, im not saying to lie in the future but you could be selective about what you put down for past jobs and why you left.
-
Cut thru all the bull............................
OK....you can't lie on applications !!!!!
But you don't give anymore than necessary either !!!!!!!!!!!
It may be a fine line, but it can make THE difference !!!!
Next time....drop the military stuff !!!!! -
True. But they asked for previous military experience and if I would've left that out, they could've found out.
-
There any other companies out there that'll train without trying to force a lease on ya?
-
Yessir, You are right ......
-
Being from Ohio you could always give Millis a call, they train you in Trenton, that would'nt be to far of a drive for you and you could go back home every night, I don't know much about them but you could always do some research on here. Just a thoughtwulfsbergvw Thanks this. -
Thank ya sir. Still hoping Roehl reconsiders my application. I mean, come on... 10 years ago? Still makes no sense to me.
