Almost out of school newbie going to Gary,IN for orietation.

    Anyone have any info on the Gary Indiana terminal for orientation?

    1. What motel?
    2. Is it a decent place?
    3. Orientation process?
    4. Any people with bad attitudes a guy should stear clear of?
    5. Are the mechanics decent?

    1.) Not sure
    2.) Have you seen the news?
    3.) day 1- usually ALOT of paperwork, drug tests, work well......day 2....(and some of day 1) watching videos, maybe some more paperwork and day 3 you get your driver code after you pass a road test.
    4.) Yeah, the janitor.....no wait.....he's in Columbus. LOL :biggrin_2559:
    5.) Suprisingly, the mechanics there are pretty good. Gary isnt the nicest terminal, or the safest (IMO) but the shop? Never had a complaint about the shop.

    I figured since it was Gary IN. that nothing was really safe there. Rough area!
    I'll keep my eyes and ears open and my mouth shut, maybe that way, I'll survive unscathed.

    Sounds like a real fun place. Haven't been there in about 15 years. I guess it's getting worse. It's hard to believe that's possible. Should be an interesting adventure. Can't waite until I leave there...and I'm not even there yet.
