Truck Stop Etiquette (How to behave yourself at the truck stop)

I was at the old TA in Atlanta a few years ago, walked out of there towards my truck with my 13 year old daughter in tow. Some clown says to me, "When you're done with that lizard, send her over to my truck." I wanted to pull him through the window.

 

in a low creepy voice?? that's just wrong

 

Thou shalt pay attention to what is behind you when backing G.O.A.L. especially in a truckstop

Thou shalt change your clothes, ALL OF THEM, daily

Thou shalt not steal fuel, chains, or any other item(s) from a fellow drivers truck

 

I believe that's 3 of the best ones so far.

 

After you finally manage to faniggle your truck into the hole at night... please cut your lights ! Very annoying when you have high powered headlights aiming right at your skull when you're trying to get paperwork done or just relax. There have been times when I've contemplated throwing my high beams back at the other truck.. but then realized what's the point, he's probably already keeled over in the bunk and I'm tired as it is..just not worth the potential problems. Be considerate and cut your lights.

 

Come on, you can't tell me you've never heard the guy with the scratchy creepy voice saying that crap.
