I am looking to start a new career in trucking I am from Ft. Wayne,In and I am thinking of going to C1 training or Sage. C1 is in ft. wayne and sage is in Kendelville (30 miles away) but i figure the drive would b worth it for 1-on-1 training versus watching others drive plus winter is on the way so the extra attention would b greatly appreciated (what r ur thoughts?). I saw US xpress has a pet policy but do they restrict the breed of dogs? (My friend has some Blue pitbull pups ready in a few months and I would luv to get 1)

If your just starting out , leave the DOG at home.

You will have enough on your plate in your new EMPLOYMENT without the added burden of a dog.

Many AREAS have restrictions on PIT BULLS , basically must be MUZZLED.

I guess I could have been more clear of course the dog will not b coming out with me at first( til I am comfortable behind the wheel) but it dont make sense to buy one if the company wont allow it any way hence the curiousity on restrictions of breed

Best thing to do ( and this APPLIES to 99% of the ?'s you might have ) is get hold of the company your thinking of joining , make note of things discussed for future reference.

That way you get correct INFO , not what my 3rd cousins bestest freind who knows a guy that worked there 8 years ago told me.

Foolishways, I remember checking into US Express, and I read that they charge you $500 non refundable, paycheck deductable ($50 a week) and I'm sorry, but they do have restrictions on breed, pits and rots are not allowed. Good luck in your search.

Anyone know of anyone who took a German Shepherd with them while with US Xpress? Sometimes that's on the line of vicious dog, not mine of course.
