1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Because they know most of us are useful idiots. They pay only just enough to keep drivers from walking through a revolving door even though there's a high turnover rate anyway. They make it sound very appealing so that they get calls from potential drivers and sugar coat a lot of the b.s If we want better pay we have to take some kind of a stance ..( hahaaaa) and be united and go on strike or mass protests. Will never happen because we live in a sheeple environment and most of us are afraid to take that risk. It's happening right now in Europe but until we are all homeless it won't happen here on the large massive scale that it takes to make them listen.

I should have been more specific. I meant will the trucks atleast do the speed limit, because alot of them don't. I would never drive for a company that leaves me stranded in the slow lane. I don't agree with going 100 down the highway, but if the speed limit is 65 I should atleast be able to go 65. As for the ads even the classifieds and craigslist don't tell you anything. Local companies post the same type of ads.

it amazes me when you call one of the companies in the magazine, they always have a list of pre-requisite criteria that is never listed in the ads

Magazine space costs money. What they really want is you to call them so they can evaluate your worth to them.

They need you to talk with a live person that can evaluate your driving record, criminal record, type of driving, etc....they are doing a phone interview to screen you to make sure you qualify for their opening....they want the best driver they can find out of the 10 that call in.:biggrin_2558:

as the old saying goes.. Trucking companies are all the same just with different colored trucks.

it's the most true thing you will ever learn in this industry. At least with the big boys
