Hmm, probably not. We get paid in CAD but run per mile. So we actually get snookered a bit on the conversion. Well, not when we are at par or above the USD.
-
What are some Canadian cents per miles for some of the popular companies?
-
Typically Canadians earn more than our American counterparts when you compare doing the same job.
And YES< Canadian truck drivers do get more/earn more than their American counterparts.lupe Thanks this. -
It's normal to see Canadian drivers getting $0.40/mile.
-
Is it easy for Americans to become a truck driver in Canada? Do they hire Americans too?
Why do they pay more? How much can you expect your first year? -
usually anywhere between 39 to 50 cpm--more in the 40-42 range tho--of course there are a few low payers but not that many
and an average of 20-25 for picks and drops border crossings and such
and if only in canada you can log 13 hrs driving per day
there are a few canadian companies that have a us operation--not sure if the pay is higher or not
i know they higher a lot of drivers from europe and east asia---you can find that on the net--not sure if an american driver can get in on the same program or not--lupe Thanks this. -
Could you recommend some Canadian companies that hire 21 year olds and provides training?
-
None....if your an American!
-
Why not? Actually I am a permanent resident here, not a citizen yet.
