They blame you for running out of fuel and expect you to run 600 miles a day and you were without a/c for 2 whole weeks?!?!!? What a horrible company......

Good record for not running out of fuel 32 yrs, but were you only allowed to fuel at only one truck stop ? At the time Pilot was their only stop.

Actually it was more than two weeks, thats just approximately how long it takes to get back to their only facility for a duct tape and bailing wire fix.Can you legally drive 1800 miles on a 1 and a half day dispatch after waiting 3 days for a load which is typical of them ?

Drive for them and see how good it it is bud.

I think everyone gets the point of what you are trying to say and everyone has an opinion my husband drove for both and help with the relief in New Orleans hauling water for NATL so I have my own opinion on them

How the hell do you run 600 miles a day and never check your fuel level? How can you sit there and say 'I didn't know I had to check it.' Do you know how stupid that makes you sound? You drive a car, don't you? Do you drive it until it runs out of gas? That one is your fault plain and simple. There is no excuse for running out of fuel.
I ran out of fuel one time and it was on a railroad track. It was my fault because I got in a hurry and didn't check it the level in the tank before leaving. I was empty so I manged to bump it off the track by trying to start it in gear while waiting for the service truck to come. When I would turn the key it would move forward a bit at a time. Right after I got it off a train came through and if I hadn't been lucky enough to be able to do that, it would have meant no more driving for me...
I have NEVER failed to check my fuel since. Always open the cap and shine a light down in there.lil may Thanks this.
