Does anybody else have a problem of the windows suddenly fogging up inside the truck?

I usually roll the window down and crank up the the temp on the heater and turn the fan on full.

Usually happens on those cool rainy days.

:biggrin_2556:Are we talking front windsheild or doors, if doors make sure the drain holes are cleard, lots time the hole plug up with thrash and the water remains in and after freeze up inside door then when warm heat from heater warms the door panel up it creates a warming misty fog on window so make sure the drain opeans are clear, far as the winsheild i find cool air works better but thats just me set the heat on the middel between the red and blue mark and defrost works for me, depends on thetruck style too, what works best, Everett.:biggrin_2556:

I used to just set the heat to the floor and leave the passenger side window down about an inch, always worked for me even when it was -40. You could also try using the ac with the heat on some vehicles it acts as a dehumidifier.

blend in the a/c with warm air (if you need warm air that is), because you have humidity in there. check to and see if the drip tubing from the evaporator is clogged up as this can allow the humidity to pop up on you on those days. you may also have a seal leak of some kind, allowing the rain/humidity to enter. maybe a bad door seal, bad sleeper to cab seal, maybe a rubber plug from the sleeper berth fell out, this would be the rubber plugs in the floor, under the bunk, storage areas. maybe a bad sleeper berth window seal, etc, etc.

by using the a/c you are de-humidifying the cab, and this also happens when we use the defroster as well. just be sure to check that drain tubing too...!!!

LOL But I don't think the OP was referring to that fog!

F/Ls do seem to fog and the only way I really cured the problem was to use Rain X anti fog on the insides, try it works good. ( pick it up at Wally mart its cheaper than a TS)

You guys are just full of hot air!:biggrin_25522:

Actually I think it has to do with moisture in the cab. I've noticed if its raining out and I climb in the truck after loading and I'm hot and sweaty, the windows will fog up.
