Man, I just did a full 14 hour day and I feel like a truck ran over me. How the heck can you be so tired after sitting for so long? :)

On the other hand, I did my first trip to the Ford plant in Chicago and got to see some new Taurus' (Taurusi?) on the assembly line. Really cool...

the concentration one must do while "sitting for so long" wears us out......just wait till the rain storms, or fog, or snow, or freezing rains come.....think you're tired now......???

oh yeah, by the way, when i did the JIT freight when i was up there in ohio, i got the 25¢ tour of the buick plant as well......kinda interesting to watch it live, and not on tv .......huh.....????

i did Lansing, Detroit, Livonia, Flint, Kettering, Lima, and a few other GM plants, suppliers....

    Whenever I do a full 14, it's usually because I'm backed to a dock at a shipper and/or receiver....waiting....waiting....waiting.....

I hear ya, my first trucking experience had me running teams with a trainer. I'd drive 7 hours, we'd drop and pick up, and I'd "sleep" the 7 hours back. I'd sit at the terminal for a few hours while my trainer went home, then we'd do it again. I was destroyed my first week, but I got used to it.

    I think it'd be Tauri. o.o

14 a day today and tomorrow and the next day and the next day after that. 6-7 days a week. You gotta love it.

That's why most truckers are out of shape. By the time you get done a 14 hour day like that you are beat. The last thing you want to do is go run around. I tell you what though, you sure do sleep good after days like that!

sitting and doing nothing is harder on me than driving, even in bad traffic or weather.
