Does anyone have any experience with this suspension system? I found a very nice 2002 W900L with a 500HP series 60 in it, and I want to jump on this pre-emission truck before it is gone!
The suspension I had in my 04 was the AG380 4 bag and I loved it. It rode extremely smooth and is far cheaper to maintain than the trashy 8 bag AG400 they have. The 8 bag is over complicated and poor riding IMO.
So what is the K100 like? I can't look at the truck in person as it is 1,000 miles away.
Thank you.

Found this old thread, with a great link to KW's suspension page on the 2nd post: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...lers/27853-kenworth-airglide-differences.html
Do they mean AG 100? Thats the original 8 bag. Even if it has that one, I'd still get the truck if it has a good, pre-emmision engine. -
I think there was a kit to upgrade the AG 100 to the newer style AG. Either way, like RW said, if its a clean pre emission then buy er up quick!

I have a w900 w ag100 suspension. I'm a fan; it's a smooth ride even when bobtailing. and it's set up for 44k.

I hava a 2000 W900L with the suspension that your talking about and it rides great another member of this site (REDD) who used to have a 379 Pete and now has a VOLVO rode in my truck a few months ago and commented that it was the smoothest riding truck that he'd ever been in.
I wouldn't trade my 8 bag for any other suspension. -
Of the Air Glide eight bag suspensions, the AG100 is my favorite. Low maintenance, bushings are cheap and easily replaced; but most of all, the ride is unequaled.

I agree. You can have the junk 4 bag setup and do the "stretch" every time you shift. Everyone screams on here when someone wants to raise or lower their suspension because of drive line alignment but never notice how far those 4 bag systems throw stuff out of alignment when accelerating. Follow a Pete, volvo, or FL bobtailing sometime. When they take off you can watch the bags almost max out and the frame lift like 3"

I've got 3-AG100's, 1-AG400 and one AG460 and they all ride excellent. That AG380 is lightweight and is only rated for 38k and needs like 80psi to hold 34k. If you must get 4 bag on a new truck I'd order Hendrickson's version. But wouldn't think twice about buying the AG100. -
I've never been a fan of the KW 8 bag systems... complicated and I never thought it rode very good.
The AG 380 is a good suspension... with a great weight advantage, too.
You don't make much money bobtailing so I never really worry about how my Air-Leaf acts when running sans trailer... I haven't had a driveline issue for 700,000 miles so it must work OK.
