The no return calls should be a red flag. At least it would be in my book. :biggrin_25525:

Do a search on this web site under "Arnold Transportation" or just "Arnold". Theirs a few different one on here and none of them good. I only worked for them a very short time and I knew they didnt give a rats ##### about the driver. I seen a US Express tractor pulling an Arnold trailer today. US Express will just absorbe Arnold till they are gone and it will just be US Express. Do a search for "US Express" also. They are just a bottom feeder driver mill like the rest of the large companies and so is Arnold now.:biggrin_25510:

Thanks for the input everyone, he is going to give them a try and hope for the best. If they don't work out guess he will come back home and try to get another local job.

The worst two months of my 17 yr trucking carrier was spent at arnold. No miles, sit all day, load at night and run all night long to deliver in the AM. LUCKY to get 1800mi a week. They locked me in the G terminal over the weekend when I was supposed to go home, security wouldn't let me leave. nothing but a half empty vending machine and a soda machine on site. they tried to get me into the yard the next weekend and I wouldn't go. my load home was cancelled AGIAN and I wasn't falling for it. I sat up the road while they ignored me on the Q com and phone for 6 hours. finally I told them if they did't respond to me in 2hr I was going home empty (4.5 hr run) 4 hr's later they must have looked at the satalite and realived I was half way home. then my phone and q-com lit up with messages.

check your dac, I'll gaurantee they hit you with something when you left. They hit me with truck abandonment even though I had photo's of all the q-com messages icluding the one where they told me I could drop the truck at their lufkin tx drop yard instead of GP because I told them if they wanted me to go to GP I wanted to be paid for it up front and I wanted bus ticket i my hand before I left.

run, run as fast as you can!!! this is not the Arnold of old. it was a really good company before USX

Hey, I just wanted to put this out there because I found your post... I've been with Arnold for three months now and they have been the best company I've EVER worked for. I consistently bring home over $700 a week, I run plenty of miles and I never sit. Plus I get home every 8 days. I love my FM and I have really gotten to where I consider him a friend. I believe communication is key. Honestly, I dont have one bad thing to say about them. I'm sorry you had such a crappy experience but I can say that my experience has been far better. I'm lucky I found this company. I hope you found a place you could get the treatment you desired.

Man, it's bad when their recruiters run trucks.:biggrin_25523:

Another one hit wonder strikes - I guess Arnold found the thread.

I am sorry you had a bad experience , but now it is the best company that ever existed. Something smells very funny. Anybody notice how they throw in the ,"sorry you had a bad experience". I am surprised he didn't throw in the implication that the unhappy driver must have been the problem , 'cause everybody else is just so happy. I heard Arnold s u c k s. Try again recruiter. Nobody falling for your BS.

The 2 days off max regardless of how long you've been out was enough for me to never even consider working for Arnold.
