Yeah Flatbed they do and apparently you're sitting in the bleachers with me in the small minds crowd!

But as many have asked in several threads just prove it but that pride after putting foot in mouth just aint big enough to to it! Just like on the CB say it and when called out all you hear is the crickets! No gonads to back it up!

It is my opinion that anyone who leases a truck from the company they are contracted to is making a foolish mistake. Landline the mag from OOIDA did a wonderful article on in house leases. Anyone looking to do one should beware.

1. Not everyone is prepared to be a "Owner operator".
2. Save your money "Practice disipline and patience".
3. Buy a cash truck "That is true Ownership not a lease illusion".
4. Learn to work on your truck "If you want to just hold a steering wheel drive for a company"
5. Save more money for the inevitable shop work on your cash truck. "It is going to happen"
6. Find a quality company to contract to or establish your own authority "more money saving".

That is a readers digest version of successful ownership. It is exactly what I did and now I have 3 trucks contracted to landstar. All bought, all paid for, all 2005 and newer. Nobody is going to do you any favors out here, and as long as there are dreamers and fools that buy into the false promises of big money being a big "owner" when they are actually a "Leasee". Lease purchase programs will continue to thrive. I never bought the b.s. and I am successful by most folks standards. I am 34 and been driving 11 years and I knew and know there is no easy way to ownership. Either save your money for a year or 2, or go to a LIGIT "BANK" and borrow it then hope for the best.
