what's Dover near? You could put an app in online, I just wouldn't expect to hear anything too soon. Right now all positions are open to displaced drivers first. I don't know how many are actually gonna move for fedex though, alot got burned last time. All these positions are based on some bean counters graph, assuming this and that, freight levels etc. I think transfers have to be in by the 11th.

has it settled down much at fedex freight?

I seen they laid off more drivers, but they still are listing positions on there website.

I was far away from getting a spot in my town, now I'm in. Got the letter yesterday. I just hope it's not a sit at home spot.
Those jobs on the website are only good for a week, IDK why they don't clean it up.

I'm more willing to move though.

Is there anyway to tell which terminals are more likely to lay off drivers?

Do you guys have assigned trucks?

You starve long before getting laid off..lol. It's really just luck.

for the most part trucks are assigned.

they just had a road opening in Savanah that I turned down. I'm not sure it was even on the website. Besides me only one other put in for it, and they were taking 2

Would you recommend waiting longer before jumping to freight?

I work for express now... Underpaid and substandard equipment. We even got some of your guys older tractors, while you get new volvo's and KWs

Tonight, i heard on the news the Fed Ex Freight is closing their Elk Grove, CA terminal in January. 80 drivers and staff will be laid off. Any other terminal closing and are they accepting transfers?
