what transistor is in that amp? open amp up and you will see a transistor inside it looks like a aspirin or some pill hinse
thats why people call them pills instead of transistors there actual name

They call them that because some fool decided on using that name and like alot of CB fork lure it stuck .... There is no such thing as a PILL ....
Also it's not that hard to build a good transistor amp one that would meet FCC spects for ham use it is not illegal to build a 10 meter amp as long as you follow the 97,315, 97.317 rules. There are FCC certified amps for HAM use. As a ham you can build one pre year for your own use.

The transistor looks like a "Motorola". MRF455 under that is: 9514, under that:RR07 and under that:"G". Didn't know which #s you wanted!!!!!

hook the radio into the amp and roll with it you will be fine unless some ham operator finds out your running it
