Hi guys. Well this should work out pretty well for me. My mentor is out of the Phoenix Terminal and we are on a Target dedicated. This means I will hit home every other day or so, and I'll be able to check on my house and sleep there over night.

His truck is a 2011 FL with only 2800 miles on the clock lol. Man, the shifting sure is nice on this one, pretty quiet running to.

We went out Monday night to San Diego and had three stops, stopped in the morning for our rest, and got back into Phoenix last night. It just happened that he had today scheduled off, so I have a free day myself.

One thing for sure is that its going to take awhile to get my rest cycle set up. We'll be back out tomorrow night, probably back to CA. Apparently, the Target fleet runs the mentors that way until your 50 hours are up and can run team. I guess they figure since its a shorter route, if the student runs away, the job can still get done by the mentor.

Let me know how it goes for you guys as well.

well didn't get coded today, most everyone in my orientation didn't. Apparently the incoming orientation class that started today is bigger than the norm and that took up all the processing time today for the staff so we just didn't get done. A little worse for me personally is they gave me a sticky note with a phone number and told me to call the next day. So I'm like no thanks to that and call from my car when I get outside, apparently they lost my medical long form that I gave them two days earlier. Fortunately I do have another one but today was the first (and sure to be not last) moment of feeling a little like a number.

Yup, we'll do. Even though I'm apparently still in limbo they want me to do the flatbed training tomorrow so I will update as that goes on.

Today was the first time that I got that feeling to be honest and I expected it at some point because of the size of the company, just a bummer when it happens. Onward and upward.
