Does Central have female trainers?
-
If you make a last minute decision not to get on the greyhound bus to SLC, do you have to pay for the bus?
-
Since Central Ref have relatively good reputation, why does anyone choose to go to CRE or CRST?

Good info Chrome! Lupe there really is no way to average your miles per week. You may get 3800 one week and 1600 the next. You can also breakdown and run into bad weather all in one week and end up owing money. It can really make you mad too when you have a really good week and then a crappy one the next. Makes you feel like you wasted a week out on the road.
Yes there are female trainers to whom ever asked.
As far as the rider program yes you can to a ride along but only during the summer months. Rider programs are shut down this time of year. Insurance companies I guess feel it is to risky during this time of year. It is very dangerous. My wife and I took my brother with us for a few days during the summer. We went from Fl to La and back. He just could not fathom that we did this all the time! He also did not sleep the whole time we were moving. He said it was like a bumpy rollercoaster ride in a closet! He wanted to see Ca but when we got there and stopped for a little bit all he did was sleep! We did get a chance to bring him through the casino's out in the good ol Palm's! There he got a shower at the beautiful Flyin J, gambled for an hour, and it was back in the truck to make our delivery in FL. He claimed it was a hell of an experience and that any minor plans he had of being a truck driver were out of his system. He had no clue that this is what trucking was about. Kind of like the newbies that get that first day shock with their trainer and realize they are in it for the long run like it or not!
Leatherman, there are some sites that have practice tests for your CDL. I just don't know them off the top of my head. Just google them. There are also a few sites out there in which you can practice your log book.
lupe Thanks this. -
Yes they do have female trainers. However there are a few that will only take male trainees. So that kinda limits a bit. You can request to have only a female trainer but you may have to sit for a bit after your 2 weeks of training to get one. I have a male trainer and he is awesome. He has not hit on me once and he is just an all around nice guy. I know that there are some horror stories that lady's get bad male trainers but I think its fewer and far between then it seems.

From what I understand the ticket doesn't get charged until you get on the bus. Now its just up to you. When My class started we were supposed to have 72 only about 52 showed up and we graduated with 30. So its up to you to take the plunge and go for it. I was really nervous getting on that bus. But now that I am on my trainers truck and driving I know it was the best decision that I ever made. The Challenger and lupe Thank this.

Any advice is its the one holiday with my family i would rather not miss at all

Unfortunately if you start on the 29th of this month you will be in the middle of your training with a trainer when Christmas comes around. It all depends on you. If your willing to miss 1 Christmas go and get it done. But if not then my suggestion to you is wait till after Christmas. I have to be home by the 24th of Dec to get my license put in my state. My training will be over before then but I want to continue working I have to much money that I owe not to work. But that's just me.

I can understand your thoughts on not wanting to miss X-mas, but to make sure you dont miss it you will have to push your start date till after X-mas. I will be starting on the 29th of this month I am greatfull that I get to spend thanksgiving with my family.I know that the days I miss this next year (X-mas, easter, 4th of july, my kids swim race's, helping with homework) will be to better my family and enter a career that will provide for the holidays in years to come. It is the choice you have to make if you want to make this a sucsess.
You wont even be done with training before the new year.
