now i made a post a few days ago and got quite a few comments and insults and one professional even said i was trying to discourage new drivers from coming into the business , well that just ain't so i would never discourage any one from coming into trucking its what I've don for almost 50 years and for your information i am not retired and not planning to be any time soon.
the young man seem to object most to the statement i made about a trucking company leaving you stranded buy firring you you and leaving you stranded miles from home he thinks that docent happen well you can tell he has only had one job that kind of thing happens Evey day the reason i put that in my post is i believe the only way you an make an informed decision is to no the both sides the good and the bad and this business is not all good there is a lot of bad nothing you cant over come but i think it makes it easier if you know what can happen ahead of time.

and for those of you that don't have an education just jump right in you don't have to have it you can still do it i never went to school i had to make a living my school was a truck that was also my home and i did just fine and in all these years no one has ever complained about my spelling and today i have six trucks along with there trailers and no i dont lease nobody has to fnd my loads for me and i dont do bad they all go and come every week ion fact im about to buy four more if i ever get over these heath isues.
now i no some disagree with some of the tings i post and thats ok i have no problm with that BUT you can believe what i say is true fom my personal experience i cant and don't speak for anyone else just my espeirence.
and you will never hear me badmouthe anothere driver and tell you not to go to get into this business this business is the best but there are bad things envolved that you need to no about ask a lot of questions before you jump in and you will be fine.
my b est to each and every one of you. southernpride:biggrin_25514:

Thank you SP for your continued support of drivers out there. You are always trying to help new and old drivers alike. I love this business but I am actually going to online school for a degree so I can get out of it. My girls are just growing up way to fast and I'm missing all of it.
Thanks as always for the time you take to tell it like it is out here!

First off, thank you pride for all the advice and insight you share on this site. i know i'm new on here, but i've read a lot of your posts and they always seem helpful. and i just read the post in question, and i could see (sort of) why people were saying them things. but us new and soon-to-be drivers need to hear these things. its not gonna be a pie in the sky, paid vacation. well regardless, i see what you were trying to say, and i for one want to say thanks.:biggrin_25514: and i hope you get to feelin better.

That is exactly why there are places like this for newbies to go to. That is also the reason why SP and others give the information that they do. It is their own time that they are taking to help newbies just to get torn apart when they do not spell a word right or it is not something that the newbie wants to hear. :biggrin_25513:

No, maybe you should quit 'cause the trucking industry doesn't need any more dumb #####.
