I bought a nice pair of Danners here www.galls.com. when I worked EMS. they were waterproof and warm. been wearing them when I ride the Harley and my feet don't get wet in the rain or cold. I've ridden in some downpoors, stepped in creeks when in EMS NEVER got wet! They will burn you up in the truck though. They had zippers on the side for easy on and off. Worked great for EMS. Should work good for this too. Plan on getting another pair when I start driving. these are about 9 years old.

They have Danners at that site also lol.
Good selection of brands and types. Granted most are black or desert brown.
Hmmm...looks like the Bates are cheaper at Galls -
PERSONALLY I SUGGEST WEAR IN A BUDWEISER T SHIRT AND A PAIR OF SHORTS WITH POT LEAF DESIGNS PRINTED ON THEM AND A PAIR OF BEACH SANDLES. THE GUYS AT CENTRAL WILL LOVE IT.

It depends on if the state you have permit in is on same setup as the other state. For example when I lived in Ohio, I got my permit, went down to Tennessee for class and Tennessee transfered my permit to their state permit and i didn't have to retest for that.
