Yea you did, and you all came up just about as short as you claim he did.
This industry is no different than others deep down, and integrity is lacking at the Management level and they can get the front line workers to fight amongst them selves. I put my self in everyones place. If I am the dispatcher or company rep , I would have found out who was driving, and dealt with it. This kid or newbie was giving the older driver a chance to own up, and he did not. And you all just jumped on him. I for 1 can't wait to find out what happens. still unimpressed. -

He told the truth his partner did not, may be he should have said more, but may be he has now. as far as Assuming he is new cause he posted in a Newbie forum, not a huge assumption dont ya think? I cut to the chase, I find out in 8 minutes who is lieing if I am the mechanic, the dispatcher, or the manager.and deal with it. I ask them separately and guess what, the newbie most likely would tell the truth, then guess what, Id give him a new partner. If by some chance they still said not me and thats all, Id fire them then id tell the one who did not do it, you are a fool. and I could most likely tell. Now the most important thing, I would not do this over a damaged step. Now before any one goes crazy, I have been a dispatcher in airfreight where every one is mad all the time, and most people are liars, I remained thick skinned and truthful, and learned to pick my windmills, before wasting time on lost causes. then the biggie , I question the integrity of my entire company if the atmosphere is such that for what ever reason a newbie has to go to ind forum to get advice because of a more experienced or same experience , or less experienced partner chooses to lie instead of just calling in he hit deep pot hole. If you investigate things honestly and thoroughly without just trying to hang people you can truly improve safety overall. Dont get me wrong the forum is great and is needed for things just like this. Also there may be other circumstances to explain one or the others actions or answers in this case or, lack of full answers.
You have to ask specific questions , not the same question over and over, and again I tell you, you have to pick your windmills. -
And how exactly do you know that the boss did not already do that when he was saying it wasn't me? You are doing the same thing that you are accusing us of doing. You are assuming different scenarios. The only difference is you are on the high and mighty for the driver when we have sat back and looked at it from the bosses point of view also.

Don't call me dude, that's number one...Number 2 I didn't ask any of you what I should do, I asked what you would do. Number three don't worry about hurting me, I think you think you have more influence than you think.
