Actually I was up - grabbed a shower and rolled out of there at about 6am.

Well - delivered the load to Cherokee early and actually got a message from dispatch saying "Nice Work"! First time I have ever seen a message like that but I'll take it!

Grabbed a load out of Baldwyn, MS going to Eau Claire, WI for a Monday delivery. WOW - 3 days to get it there.......checked with dispatch and was told ok to deliver on Sunday and was told ok since it's a drop and hook. Actually got there Saturday evening and dropped my trailer and was lucky enough to actually find an empty.

Asked dispatch if there's no load I'll just head to Black River and take my 10 there. Dispatch say's "we have several loads needing to be picked up. So headed over to Memononiee (sp?) and grabbed a 3 stop load. 2 of them in WI and the last is in IL.

Decided to just stay the night at the T/S close to the pickup, grabbed some dinner there and called it a night. Sunday morning headed to Black River and grabbed a shower, fuel and did a load of laundry. Of course had to check out the trucks sitting there.......man I was drooling over that Cascada sitting there. Thought to myself - now what story could I muster up that get me into that truck. Not that I dont like mine - but man to have that much room - I'd be like a "fat kid with cake"! Oh well - I quit drooling and headed for my first stop in Seymour, WI. On the way out - hit the WalMart to restock my food and off I went.

Awesome drive to Seymour - beautiful area and saw many deer even during the early afternoon. Arrived at the customer (of course they are closed) so just parked outside their gate and slept there. As soon as the customer opened I was able to unload there. These window loads are all "live" unloads and seem to take forever.

I am trying to get all three unloaded today (even though the last stop is not set until tomorrow) wanted to get these miles on this week. Ck'd with dispatch and was given the ok to call the last customer to see if I can deliver today since I was way ahead of schedule. Customer said -"sure - as long as you're hear but 3PM then they'll unload me"! SWEET.

I have 88 miles to go to stop number 2 and it's only 8am. It's 188 miles to stop 3 so as long as they dont take forever to unload me - I can get all three in.

Well - so much for that plan.........stop #2 takes 2 1/2 hrs to unload me so which puts me at stop 3 after 3PM. Man that sucked! I did get a Porkroast ready and in the crookpot so it can cook while finishing my inload and drive to stop 3.

Stopped in Richfield and grabbed fuel and spent the next 3 hrs smelling that pot roast cooking. Now sitting at the rest area on 57S about 20 miles from stop 3 that I will make at 7am in the morning. Made some mashed potatos and corn to go with it. Man it was soooo good! Have enough left over for tomorrow also. Gotta love cooking in the truck - sure beats eating out all the time and saves a lot of money.

If you get time - Check out www.yttrucking.com. I just found out my video's have been added to this site now. It's a great site for trucking videos from all over the US and abroad!

    Be safe!

    Hey buddy!

You are setting a good example of how to maximize your time. No screwing aroung playing video games in a TS, always trying to deliver early whenever possible, etc.... What you may not realize is that you are most likely one of the most productive drivers at Millis as a result. ET in the Crete thread runs exactly the same way and manages to pull miles that others can only imagine.

Oh yeah.... post your week mileage for us?

Baritone anytime you get a menards load you can deliver early in there just sometimes they wont have a empty trailer and they will have you bob tail to get one somewhere. Also just wait till you get a window load going to the north east and they take 5 hours to unload and then you cant make the next delivery till the next and it takes 2 days to do 2 stops.

Thanks - but I can't say I am the most productive but it's work ethic that my parents installed in me when I was young. Get my job done first.

If we dont deliver these loads on time - some other company will! Then we will be complaining about miles and so on!

Miles 2 weeks ago were 2979
    Last week 2971
After I drop this load tomorrow I'll be at 1195 for the week.

    Hitman and Jarhed1964 Thank this.
