You will have to read my blog on Blogspot. I also worked for SFT, which never paid me on-time, nor the amount that was owed. Upon leaving the company they owed me in excess of $ 2,400.00. They did make two $ 100.00 payments over the Columbus Day holiday, and that was only so I would have money to eat on.
I never got reimbursed for scale tickets, gate fees, toll charges, and some lumper fees.
I am also gettin ready to take them to court.

Thank you both for taking a stand and good luck to both of you, and everyone else that has been scammed by a company. You can bet there are a lot more of them, probably every driver that has ever worked there . Thats one hell-of-a-way to operate a company - finance the company operations with stolen money from your employees or pocket it outright.
Trucking ownership and management seems to attract some of the most unethical people in business. I think they are drawn to trucking because of the ease of screwing employees for profit. Trucking operates in a world of its own, no other industry can get away with what trucking does. -
Makes me glad I went with a local driving only company job! I may be a new and inexperienced driver but 1 thing I learned within 6 weeks after driving with a OTR company was it was a big waist of time!. I like being in my own bed each night, I like being with my family each and every day and I like getting a regular weekly pay check not having to pay others expenses and hopeing to get paid back!. I now make MORE TAKE HOME PAY then I would have ever gotten from a mega company!. I highly recommend driving local!!!!

Actually, almost all of the people I've worked for over the years were not rich people. They were hard working, talented individuals that deserved every dime they made.
They were also smart enough to understand that to receive the loyalty of their employees they had to deserve it. It could not be a one way street. They were smart enough to know that if you treated people like expendable machines you were going to get minimal output from them. It you treated them like fellow human beings you would get much more in output than you paid for. I believe that these principles should apply to the trucking industry! -
They do apply... it's just that the mega companies.. literally know that for the most part.. they are the only way someone will get into the industry.. therefore they believe they can get away with it... I swear the insurance companies and the "MEGA" companies are working together to make sure that you have to go to one of them to get a CDL and sign a lease on a truck.. making sure that being a driver will be the hardest, lowest paid job in the country and therefore nobody in their right mind would even consider doing it... oh wait.. maybe that would end up being a good thing for the industry.. but i'm rambling on here..
welcome to the bureaucracy that has killed this country

6 weeks of otr wasnt much time to give it a chance. but if you are doing what you like thats great. nothing wrong with local i did it for awhile. it was a decent job i just got bored with the same runs over and over

Anyone that used to work for them plz contact me as they have been taken to court already and ordered to pay. thomaswolfgang at yahoo dot com we need to get together against them.
they need to sell all their things and give everyone the money they owe. wish they would get fined and punished somehow for what they did.Last edited: Nov 22, 2010

My fiancee just started working for SFT. We hadn't done any research on the internet before he applied with them. Now I wish we had. I just don't know what to say, after reading all the badcomments on here. I looked online because he left out Tuesday, and has had to stop everytime he needed gas and stay the night, because there wasn't any money on his fuel card. I would be very interested in hearing more about SFT. We own a computer business in Dalton, and he took the job because things had gotten slow, for the extra income. If he isn't going to get paid....he can go back full time in his job here. I don't see donating time to someone else, unless it was a charity group. Please let me know more...... Thanks!

That alone should be enough for him to DECIDE its not the place to work.
