With Veterans Day coming up, I thought I would start a thread to say thank you to the Vets and active military that defend the country and my freedom. I also want to say a thank you to the family of the people in the military because your sacrifice is just as great as the men and women that put their lives on the lines every day.

Words do not exist that express my respect and appreciation for your service to our nation. "Thank you" just isn't enough.

I know that the last few years applebees restaurants have advertised veterans, military personnel eat free on veterans day. It is nice to see them taking the time to honor the uniform and the people who wear it or once wore it.
trukngrl, rookietrucker, Working Class Patriot and 3 others Thank this. -

The Golden Corral military appreciation day is Monday, Nov. 15 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is a free buffet with no ID required.
On Veterans' Day, Nov. 11, Applebee's offers a choice of seven free menu items from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Proof of service is required such as DD Form 214 or photo in uniform. I imagine many will wear their uniform to Applebee's following local Vet parades and speeches. I plan to take my DD Form 214 to Applebees in Plainwell, MI.
Some Subways offer a free 6" sub.
