That is something you can control but it may mean other things too. Like is that company pushing their drivers too fast or maybe waving a few bucks in front of them to get them there now? If I were you I'd stick to my guns and let them know right from the start that you do not speed or go over hours. Then I would prepare my truck to get inspected at every turn. Keep it all neat and you never know you may change the way the company deals with these matters. You might even change the way a few LEO's feel about your company. Good Luck.

Well yesterday morning I got a call form a 3rd outfit that I had applied to. They asked me to come in for an interview so yesterday afternoon I made the hour drive over to there facility and had my interview. I was offered a job at the end.

There were a couple of things I was not crazy about them but I already knew that in advance before I applied and they were not deal breakers for me. I told them that I needed to compare the offer to the other 2 that I had and I would get back to them today.

So after discussing all the pro's and con's of all 3 companies with my wife last night and figuring out which would likely be the best choice I made my decision. I will be starting with company #3 on Monday. I know a couple of people that use to work for them and have nothing but good things to say and have never really heard any negative comments about them period. I feel that they can offer me more than either of the 2 other companies can at this time and that they are a better choice period. So look for a new thread from me starting next week and I will detail my time with Carter Express out of Anderson, IN. Thanks for all your input.

I noticed your location listed as "somewhere between heaven and hell." My question: which is heaven and which is hell, Indy or Dayton?

I did that: Stay with Prime or go to Swift..Prime or Swift...okay, heads Prime tails Swift.

It was tails. Tried it again' still tails. Once more, tails again. Okay, best of seven....tails yet again.

    It was a double-tailed coin.

At least you have as choice. My husband has been out of work since August all due to some snotty things said about him on his "DAC" report. He wasn't citied for anything and never received a ticket or warning. Every company says the same thing, "your DAC report is not good" and won't give him a chance! After 32 years of driving, no tickets and a clean MVR report, he can't get a job. We are really getting discouraged. Unemployment is not fun or profitable. If anyone has an answer it would be greatly appreciated.
