I'm not the biggest fan of these magnums, and i never drove one but i heard that they are not for "Our" roads they have too soft suspension too long wheelbase.....truck has a very interesting interior ,but i'm not sure how much is practical in real transport.....

but the entrance is too complicated ....you need 30 seconds to enter....and handrail is always dirty.....
comparing with mercedes actros which also have a flat floor and 4steeps.....

Magnum is good for driving but to climp this cabine holding folder with teeth!

actros engine is V6/V8 not so tall like six in line! That's why 4 steps in mega space cab.

Magnum trucks are with Mack Engines, V-Mac ore PLD, newer with Volvo D11/D12/D13.

I hate to work on Magnum. Early Magnum trucks had box for some electronic units on frame. when someone installed cover wrong way this box was full of water and many control units were damaged!

In newer Magnum wiring and control units are hidden!

Anyway good trucktor for driver. First class!

seems to me it is 2010 model year truck and the engine is D13C SCR, 440 hp. PLD Mack engine was discontinued in 2005...

    quite an interesting thread...

Having driven on both continents I would say EU trucks are better build higher quality and more sophisticated which is not necessarily a good thing for an owner operator or small company here as expenses go up.

EU companies have a long haul ahead if they would want to be competitive here...starting from dealers to repair shops etc... till then i'll stick to what i know :)
