It's been 2 weeks since I last posted, very busy..Got to DDS at 5am and tested at 10am left at 4pm.Was very nervous and found out pretty quick that there was nothing to be worried about...You would have to screw the pooch real good to fail it.The DDS guy who tested me was very nice and kept telling me to be cool..Did the front of truck pretrip and aced it..He didn't seem to like the fact that I did it in exact order as was taught for our school..Did the in cab and aced that..same with coupling..Got to the str8 line and rode my driverside line all the way back.I was not happy about that, since just the day before I was doing it perfect..Very nervous..
Got to my offset and did it perfect..well,till the point where I backed the tracter trailer clear out of the box..lost 4 points needlessly for that..
Next had to do a coventional parallel..aced it..Then off to the road test!
Drove very conservitive..5 miles below the speed limit and down shifted my a.. off during slow downs..Never missed a gear up shifting.Missed my gear once down shifting and almost screwed the pooch but saw my speed was 35 and punched that sob into 8th..DDS guy said nice job.All and all it was very fun and I really liked the guys I was with in training..My trainer was awsome..If she can get my sorry a.. passed, your a pretty good trainer in my book.
Going to Roehl on the 22nd in Ellenwood then I'm off with my trainer.
Graduated today!

So,been off for a few days now.Tuesday I helped a buddy pass his DDS test in Dalton Ga.He got threw the PTI good, which I was helping him with.
Did his str8 back good, was really waivering on the driverside offset..He must have lost 4-5 points there. Then did the alley dock and fell apart..
I am packing for orientation on Monday,I am pretty sure Roehl will let everyone go on wed for thanksgiving but officially I have to pack as if I were being picked up by my trainer. Next post will my packing list... -
What I have on..This includes the tactical boots I have on..and heavy winter jacket.
Back pack 1) 5 days of socks,underwear..4 shirts,3 pants,3 thermals.
1 pair of Crocs, work gloves and a warm hat.
soap,shampoo,deoderant..all small for traveling..tooth paste,toothbrush,floss..
Back pack 2) This computer/buisness backpack..very square and compact.
So computer(an HP netbook) 1 ruler,4-5 pens, note book, clip board, all my wires for charging gizmos. Now I had some room left and put 5 days worth of food in.Food is especially made for micro wave.I still have a little room for some extras but its tight.
3) sleeping bag and pillow
This is the heaviest I have ever packed..I like packing light and am proudest when on a trip and someone asks so how long will you be staying and I say 2 months..With only 1 small overhead bag...Last edited: Nov 17, 2010
