Need Info on Melton Truck Lines

Chickenhaller, you seem to not like the fact that Melton does not preplan. But if you read my first post, second one in this thread, I addressed that point. They don't preplan because, as you yourself admitted, they don't know what problems you may encounter getting unloaded. You have to get empty and get on the board for dispatch. As I also stated, I worked for them for 9 months, and I never had trouble getting home when it was time to go.

 

i am looking at melton for a job i was wondering if they do a hair drug test or not the recruiter said she thinks so but wasnt sure so i would like to know

When I was there it was a normal in the cup test. That was three years ago. But to be honest, if you have to be concerned with a drug test, go flip burgers. If you use illegal drugs you don't need to be driving a 80,000 pound truck with freight on the deck that can come off and kill my or anyone else's family.

When I was with Melton I did sit on a lot of weekends if I wasn't in the middle of a coast to coast run or something. That's part of flatbedding. Most of the places you pick up from and deliver to are closed on weekends so you can't deliver. Many times I'd get in the immediate area on Saturday for a Monday a.m. delivery and would take my 34 hour restart before my delivery. That's just the way it is.

 

Does Melton run southwest or west?

I stopped smoking 3 year's before I started driving truck because I wanted to change my life, have something for myself and not end up like my sorry ### dad. Get with the program. I hope they don't hire you if your that concered about a drug test.
