I was terminated from the American Red Cross once I was put on short term disability for non work related joint pain. I didn't qualify for FMLA at the time.

what part of the country do you live in? I would definitely wait it out if all possible, CRST does not sound like a good deal, having to pay them back for all that stuff and only running team.

Only thing I've seen is you might have to get a couple of non relatives to vouch for your periods of unemployment.

Wow, an organization that's dispositon is to help people and they canned you? Flood, Hurricane okay, medical problems, no. You must have a year in to get 12 weeks. I'm on a MLA now and am learning everything quick. Maybe I'll get canned in 8 weeks :) But I have an ace in the hole!

Terminated: Yes Without proper cause: Yes. Long story, but the state agreed with me and I have been collecting unemployment. To answer all the next questions. I did inform Central and why.

I can't guarantee this, but they just want to make sure you weren't goofing off and calling it "unemployed" I had to have two letters stating I was unemployed and the state faxed them my unemployment benefit records.

Being a stay at home mom should not disqualify her.

You were not unemployed. You were self employed as a Homemaker. :)

They want YOU to pay for lodging and bus fare? Tell them what they can do with their lodging and bus fare. The only reason they get away with crap like this is because we drivers let them. People think they have to suck it up because they want a job. Guess what folks, the economy is recovering. You don't...
