If you can make it team, you will make it solo.
I am not sure what kind of money people are making there, I would guess the average would be 40-50 like everywhere else as a company driver.
Most company's pay teams less per mile than solo's, or at least they use to. That seems to have changed some on a limited basis I have seen team starting pay a few cents more.
Company's really need to be geared for teams though for it to work.
I think team freight is going to take off. Once the company's are put out of business that are running the loads illegal on solo trucks now, you will see the quick team loads start to show up more.
I will still never believe that you can or will make more as a team than I can solo.

Plus the thought of being cooped up 25/7 with somebody, just doesn't thrill me very much.

Hey everyone, I am new here and I am thinking of going to Central's trucking school in Fontana, Ca in January and I plan on working for them. I am in the military so all my schooling will be paid for by their KRAFT program, but I had some questions about the company:
    1. How does the company deal with the lumper issue? Does the driver pay up front and get reimbursed or does the company cover it?
    2. Does the driver get paid to unload if necessary and if so how much?
    3. Do they still offer safety, idle, and productivity bonuses?
    4. Does the company reimburse drivers for washouts and truck washes?
    5. Do they pay layover and detention pay?
    6. Do they allow pets?
    7. Do the sleepers come with fridge and microwave?
    8. What is the success rate of the L/O program?
Any information would be helpful, thank you :biggrin_25525:

All these questions have been answered, start reading from page one bro.
    Anyway:
1 they pay for lumpers, reimburstment they take it out of your check until they get the reciept then put it back in
3 When I was there they cut out all bonuses
4 They pay for trailer washouts, but not truck washes
5 they do pay layover and detention, $40 a day after 24 hours for layover, up to $99 for detention
    5 No pets
7 You have to be kidding right? You get a bed, anything else is on your nickle
    8 DON'T DO IT!!!!!

That is the best I can do.
The Lease thing may have 3% finish it. But that would be really pushing it.

Thanks ChromeDome, I think Central is my best choice because they are offering me free training, of course as long as I stay with them for a year or so I believe. I have been researching for months now and Central has come out to the top.

I would guess the Terminal in Fontana.
They don't put drop yards within an hour or so of terminals. Would be a waste of money.

    sk8nfun16 Thanks this.
