I know. the stuff DB pulls off the road. Makes you wonder about all the other silent horror stories.

Whats the stats on drunk driving???
Most offenders drive many many many times before getting caught.
I'm sure that for every one that DB takes off the roads there are 10 to 50 more that
their luck is still holding......... for now.
How are all these clowns managing to skate past the scales?????????outerspacehillbilly Thanks this. -
rocknroll nik Thanks this.

As far as stats, they say on average someone drinks and drives over 100 times before being caught. Now that may not be to the point of intoxication, but drives after drinking.
Most of the ones I find drinking are after 3-4 p.m. One of the last ones I had was at the scale. The last was at roadside on the interstate. -

Had two bad accidents in our area this holiday.
Wednesday three unrestrained drivers found a tree on rain slick road over a hill. 2 young girls found the windshield, one from the back seat. My patient.
This afternoon, two teenagers crossed the line for some reason and hit another vehicle head on on a two lane highway at 55 most likely. Why, we will never know. Both were fatalities and road closed for 4 hours.
I certainly hope this ends it for the weekend. I decided to leave tomorrow and deal with the road drivers to get away.
As for dui or drinking and not getting caught. Most people will be amazed. -
OK...I'm not "out there" yet, and expect to be sometime in early 2011, but I still want to know...
If you see someone driving who is obviously a hazard, whether drunk or drugged, how do you report it? I know there are risks, and I wouldn't stop them myself.
I've seen a few who needed to be stopped ASAP before killing or being killed.
What to do? It's kind of like preventing a murder. -

That are two things I really agree with that they at least use to do in Germany.
The drinking age was younger. Which does not really bother me. Teens are going to drink. If they learn to do it in a social setting and not hiding it then I think the excess would be less.
The second was that the driving age was 21, and the training was much better than in the states.
Yes, we would have to upgrade our public transportation in rural areas for this to work, but it is possible. Teens should not be on the road driving.
Also, offenses like speeding 15+ over, DWI and other big charges need to all have a mandatory suspension, first time.
And if you get 2 DWI's you should loose your license for life.INF3RNAL Thanks this.
