Congrats on the truck.. Are you buying this? or is this a company truck?
we have a volvo similiar to yours.. Ours tend to sway a bit more in the wind, curves, bumps than the freightshaker we used to drive. I like the captain and heated chairs (haven't tried the heat yet) don't like the cushions on the bottom but we have a memory foam and another foam mattress on top so that made it better.
Our coolant sensor goes off every time we go around any type of bend, hill etc.. and yeah we get shocked on this truck alot. Wouldn't buy one but its ok for a company truck.
I think that if they took parts from each truck, pete, volvo, freights, kw, internationals, and macks.. It might look pretty nice on the inside. Or better yet, let a truck driver design the inside of the truck -
Nice truck man! My wife and I had the new 07' lemon80 with the D-16 in it. Comfortable truck but bad year to buy a test truck!

HI..I saw your truck parked the other day and wanna talk to you about your experience with this Volvo, I have read lots of good and bad ordeals with this machines, but since I am in the market for one I would like to hear directly from one new owner,,,unfortunatly you took off and I wasn't able to give you my concerns..can you please share some comments ?..what engine you have Volvo or Cummins..13 or 10 sp, or automatic..any major electrical problems or any other kind..I would appreciate any input since I am going to invest $93 k on a 09' 780 ultrashift and Cummins ISX 500 hp and 200K miles,,I have seen some you tube videos from Volvo O/O and some praise love this rigs, and some have had terrible luck with them too..I really hope that this is not your case. thank you very much and I wish the best of luck to you and your beatifull VOLVO 780..

Well I'm driving a 2011 volvo "crst truck" it's awesome a big step up frm the 1997 freithliner fld. I started out driving with pst vans, salt lake city,ut . Just some advice if you're just starting out or lack resent otr experience this could be the company for you but if you have other options don't come this way. you will be highly disappointed . I've never work for a company that carry all my garnishments over frm wk to wk so when its slow or home time comes they are stacking up, that includes school or refresher and child support they don't follow the court order.( FOLLOW COURT ORDER!!! NOT CRST WAY )They have different fees for any and everything (WATCH YOUR PAY )its design to keep you in the negative stay away from cash advances $4 fee.just to name a few. Its drivers here that can't figure out why they can't get out of the hole. My point nice equipment but just a starter company for most. Its a "revolving door" . For all the cat lover my bf drives a black w900 With a cat beautiful trk but it stays in the shop for the regen system. Then my 1st cusin drives a pete 379 with a 425 Cat loves it. its not always the brand just more of a preference I guess be safe drivers summer is near. Still thanking god for the opportunity to get back out here !!!!!!!! just smile if I'm tryn to pass # 65 mph in that gold 780 .

Nice truck. Looks like my '06 just different colors. Will be interested in seeing how you like the new engine over time.
Issue that people talk about with Volvo power is actually the company messing with the computer. Once that is done, you lose very little HP to the rears.
And issues from 5-6 years ago on repair locations are in the past. Anything that I would want to have done can be done at most TA/Petros. Now still plenty of stuff I leave for my dealer or local mechanic.
It seems that Volvo listened to people on parts pricing. While I have not have a lot done on mine, prices are comparable to others.
Depending on what you are having done it can take a bit more time. A lot of this is due to how they have the engine placed. It is both a safety feature (won't tear through cab like other models) and lowers the center of gravity. But yes, because of that smooth ride that sold me on Volvo you do get a lot of cabin sway. Hope I never get comfortable with it as it keeps me focused on corner speed. -

Are you kidding? Why make a nice truck a lemon. The last cat I had was in an 08 t660,the biggest piece of junk ever..cat is outta the business. For a good reason, the green engines are pretty good. I can't wait for my 780 to arrive. Even this 2010 t660 is junk...wind noise, egr problems w/cummins power..every driver we have loves their volvos..
