Millis Training Ohio Nov. '10

We spent the day back in the classroom. Yes we worked on turkey day, but its better than getting behind. We reviewed trip planing as well as coupling and uncoupling, and finished with backing. We are excited to practice what we learned on the range tomorrow.

 

I am glad to see you are still enjoying you training and I hope you all do well.
Jan. 10 seems so far away, I hope it goes quick. I cant wait to get started myself. keep the updates coming! How many are in your class?

 

Day 5: We spent the day on the range. We Started with coupling and uncoupling. We got to drive with the trailer on the lot. Also we worked on straight line backing.

Slick63, We have 5 people in our class.

 

Day 6: Today we started at 6 and worked till 5 and will do the same the rest of the week. The class started by preforming a pre-trip on the FL Classic. We accomplished 2 maneuvers on the course ally dock and sight side parallel parking.

The weekend went by quick. Our homework was reading and finishing quizzes for 5 chapters. I spent Sunday at the school practicing pre-trip.

Today was our first day on the road. Mon-Wed we practiced our backing maneuvers. We voted on an extra day on the road instead of classroom homework which we'll do over the weekend. Only six more days then orientation and then on the road with a trainer!

We've been driving around with each student driving about 2 hours at a time. Tomorrow we head to Wisconsin to drop n hook trailers. Will be at least one night out. Next week is orientation and off with trainers. CDL test will be taken during our time with trainer.
