I'm looking for anyone in WI that is or was an Independent O/O...
Trying to find out if once you have your ICC/MC number that you can then file for sales tax exemptions when purchasing truck parts/service
within the state of Wisconsin.
Last time I was at WI KW, another O/O offered to let me use their sales-tax exempt status to wipe out the sales tax on my invoice.
Since I get it back anyway when I file, I passed.
However, since then, I have been curious about that and google didnt turn up anything Wisconsin related...Just looking for some info..
Thanks guys-
Any independent O/O in WI ?

All you need is your MC number. We bought our trailer in WI and paid no sales tax with the MC number. We also have had work done at the Pete dealer in Oak Creek and again all they needed was our MC number to do tax exempt. So you shouldn't have to file for anything.

Thanks Man....looking forward to this...appreciate it!

Just ask any retailer for a tax exemption certificate to fill out... they keep it on file and you don't pay any sales tax. Even works at Fleet Farm....

Hey guys...I appreciate it. KW is filling out my paper work.
That would have saved me over $185 in WI Sales tax on my last repair...if you do the math, that was a HUGE repair bill.
I get it back, but why pay it in the 1st place ya know...?
Thanks -
dont' forget napa and other parts houses etc

Well so far, its either been KW or TruckPro. TruckPro is out of state and so far no taxes there anyway...thanks!
