Trainco School

Alright, I will be starting tomorrow, and I will try to relay any pertinent info I can.

 

Ok, I just got home from day 1 and we went through a TON of information.

My instructor is an older guy and has over 4 M.I.L.L.I.O.N. accident free miles logged. Holy #####. He drove for 42 years between 2 companies, and I am going to just milk him for as much information as possible.

We are learning the ropes on an older POS cabover until one of the guys in the class decides not to dump the clutch while in the high side of reverse...lol.

There are 5 people in the class including myself, and each of us will have our own truck to drive in the yard, and we will all use a newer Volvo or International to drive on the road.

So far, so good.

 

Yeah, I am not sure all 5 will be back today or not. One of the guys is pretty freaked out just moving the truck up 10 feet and back. And then, only one other person has their DOT physical done, or their temp permit.

Is that Volvo an auto-shift, or an automatic?

 

Yeah...night class.

Dick is the instructor. And, I think John will help sometimes in the yard and stuff.

Blackie is a trip.
