    The big change is in the load securement basic.
    Before every violation was 10 points. They will be working to change them so they properly reflect the violations.
    As it was before you got the same points for having any securement issue. A frayed strap counted the same as having 1 chain on 40k lbs of steel.

    It is so relieving that the groups the CSA issue is supposed to be focusing on has so much input into how they think the Feds should watch over them!

    ATA is nothing but representatives of the carriers....I guess like every student in school they need to have a say in how the teacher grades the papers!

    While i understand that the drivers and carriers have a role in the safety on the highway..... why would a shipper care what the rating is of the carrier..... the carrier is insured, the shipper is excluded from liability in accidents. They will simply use this to push rates down even lower.

    better question --- WHAT IS THE RATING OF THE SHIPPER....... wait... wait.... oh there is not one right now..... go figure. We can fix that.
