watching the sun rise or set with a cup of fresh coffee.
A long run where I don't have to bump a dock for several days.
Finding an old buddy on the road and laughing about some of the dumb stuff we did.
Running with other drivers and talking up a storm on the radio.
Running supplies to devastated areas and how much people really appreciate it.
Kids wanting you to honk the air horn.
Going to Fl after being up north in the winter. LOL. I really like that one.
Coming home.
Delivering a load on time when no one thought it was possible.
Talking to new drivers and helping them thru a rough spot.
Listening to the older drivers and the stories they tell.
Sitting down to a hot meal after a long day.
Getting that ever so rare full night sleep.
Helping the kids find me on the map when I call home.
Finding that perfect toy for the kids and seeing their eyes when I pull it out of the truck.
The sound of the turbo whinning and the tires growling as I'm running down the road.
The sound of a sexy voice on the radio after listening to guys all day. LOL.
Going to the same customer enough that I know the workers and they know me.
and on and on.

Thanks, drivers. That is what I was looking for . . . life is good . . .

But wait, there's more!
I love days when all I have to do is drive. Light load, prepass green all day, just movin' down the road. Long load means good miles.
I like sunrises better than sunsets. Fewer people are up, less traffic, and the promise of a new day.
I love the unexpected views, the deer and other wildlife along the highway (as long as they don't try to compete with me on the road), the mountains (when I am not fighting through snow). -
Happiness is...
Being loaded for home on Friday morning and having all the time you need to get there. -

The freedom of being on the road, there is still freedom it Just depends who you run for!! you can stop and eat when you want, eat what you want, listen to the music you want, stop where you want you get to see family and friends you may never see otherwise, a good long run that takes several days, and for me seeing the places that my family traveled to when we I was a kid..I Like taking my kids on the road showing them what life is all about, showing them there is more than there little town, I love it when little kids pass by pumping there arm and waving.. I love the satisfaction of delivering a load of tractors to a farmer, or un loading that new combine, getting it there through any weather, Delivering to Military bases, things the military needs.. I feel successfull and proud to deliver everything that I have loaded on A trailer.. On a trailer not in it.. I got sick of grocery warehouses a long time ago...And How nice it is when I get home and see my wife and Children.. I believe the Question asked is what do you like about trucking???

Driving through the desert at night. Then stopping at a remote old time truck stop after they have turned out the lights...and you look up at the stars that can only be seen when you are out there in the desert. Amazing!!!
