I can remember that. My brother's name is Chris. I got my handle years ago from my grandfather and uncles. I wouldn't go fishing unless we were going after catfish. Now, in my free time during the spring, summer, and winter, I compete in some high-dollar catfish tournaments. I guess I need to post some pics now, huh? LOL
-
Lol yea bro please post some pics. I'm still trying to go fishing for the first time lol I know I know but I am from philly. Chainbinder don't worry bro its the past so f it lol. I can't wait to leave for tmc Sunday. Gotta be at the airport at 5. Hope the ppl at orientation are as down to earth as you guys.

Hey guys real quick when you got to orientation on day one did they have you do a road test and was it hard.
-
As well as I can remember... I do not think TMC let rookies in the drivers seat of an actual truck until the 3rd-5th day, and even then it was only for a straight line back. Yard & road training/eval. was mostly during second week of orient.
Good luck to you. -
Hey Matt, been real busy and haven't had any time to check your posts lately, glad to hear you got you foot fixed, I still feel terrible that even happened, we were supposed to get our trucks together ya know, I'm stuck in a snowstorm at the moment 2 hours from home, I tried to get us there but got too slick so my trainer decided we'd get home in the morning, I finally got my downshifting experience on hills in the smokies this week, got it figured out now, still hate rush hour around the big cities though, I better shutup and get some sleep, keep the road in your sights buddy, hope to run into you again

There is no road test for newbies. You will start with straight line backing in the truck and practicing shifting the 13 speed on the sims. From there you do more yard work, then go out on the road for an hour or 2 per day. You will start with 2ndary roads with little traffic and progress to city driving, and will do at least 1 night drive. Most likely you will go out with a differant trainer each time, so expect to hear a differant way of doing some things each time, and then you will find what works best for you.
Your road test comes AFTER the 5 wks otr, when you go back to terminal. Pass the road test and get your truck. Overall, a well rounded program from my chair. Best of luck to you! -
Thank you guys very much for all the information and luck I will be heading out my house at 5:30 am tomorrow spending today with my wife and kids they are upset but....... I will be starting a thread strictly for orientation and another one for my otr training if I make it to that lol no when I make it to that.
