I live in the chicagoland area. The company website says within a reasonable distance to a terminal to get hired. Can anyone tell me of Chicago is considered a reasonable distance? Thanks for the help!

I believe you have to live within 100-120 miles of a terminal. You can call Roxy in the recruiting office to make sure though. Check their website for the phone number.

I talked to Roxy this afternoon, she confirmed the 120 mile distance. Seems that in my zipcode I'm 30 miles out of range of the nearest terminal (Dalton GA) but if I move 6 miles east into a different zipcode I'm suddenly ok. I'm writing to the Postmaster General tomorrow to have him put my address in the closer zipcode. (..they can do that, right?)

You guys on here are great! I'm looking to find a company with good training. Watkins & Shepard looks good so far. I live 107 miles from the Richmond, KY terminal. Is it true that they use Sage Driver Training?
Thanks,
Phil -
Driver training is actually outside, they just have certain requirements and certain companies they prefer drivers to come from. They can recommend a company close to you if you call, but they dont "use" any driver training companies...

Just call Roxy, she'll send you a list of the schools they hire out of your area.

Thanks!
I appreciate it very much.
You all have a great week and I hope to see you on the road soon.
