Funny how all the bottom feeders have lease purchase.....its no wonder they can cut rates and haul for nothing with what they make off leasing trucks..

Sure when you put it in those terms no way is a lease going to compete with a new truck purchase. The leasing company does not research the business capabilities of the lease. Millions of people bought homes from Fannie Mae some are still living in them and paying the mortgage as agreed. If you are business savvy and don't mind paying the price I do not see a problem like I said if the contract checks out.

Some leases have it built in that if you get sick or fall behind you can turn the truck in w/o penalty. Try that with a financed truck. It's just like leasing a car, pro's and cons, but I refuse to believe all leases are written by the Devil.

How many contracts do check out though ?? These programs are not in place to help a driver they are in place for the company to make money period...

Now in the unlikely event that said driver does complete the lease then what ?? You have a high mileage fleet spec company truck that is worth nothing on the used truck market....These aren't O/O trucks they lease out, with the exception of *maybe* JCT who looks to have at least decent equiptment that might be worth something on down the road..

You turn it in and get another new lease truck with warranty. Like I said just like leasing a car. Its a depreciating item, financing a truck will always beat a lease, but leasing an apartment puts a roof over your head temporally.

Exactly! The typical lease payment is higher than what you can finance the exact same same truck for off the dealers lot. Then in three years you have an option to purchase the truck~for more money than you could buy the exact same truck off the dealers lot. There is a reason they will lease you a truck for nothing down~MONEY IN THEIR POCKET WHILE YOU WORK YOURSELF INTO THE GROUND FOR ALMOST NOTHING. Got that yet?

Or just turn it in and start a new lease. Just like an apartment you never will own the apartment. You just turn over the lease. Got it?

You are trying to compare apples to oranges. The two are completely different.

Yea its kinda like renting~open your window and throw your cash away. I "got it" years ago, maybe you will if given enough time.
